Australian House & Garden October 2015 renovation issue
Australian House & Garden have featured McKinley House in their special renovation issue. Why? Because the architectural outcome seamlessly combined the charm of a beautiful federation home, with light filled, contemporary living. Old and new are clearly separated, but there is a clean, contemporary aesthetic that flows throughout. Key features of this home are the stunning feature timber wall, the polished concrete and the clever zoning which allows for a growing family.
Habitus Living
Our Coastal House was recently featured online in Habitus Living. We love the composition of material and form in this house which is perched overlooking Bass Straight. Read the full article at www.habitusliving.com/projects/coastal-house-by-venn-architects
Grand Designs Issue 4.2
It was fantastic to have our Hanby House featured in the current Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Some of our favourite features of this house are the Argo stone used in the front hallway and the expansive kitchen bench which is a 7 metre cantilevered Caesar Stone island bench accentuated by seamless European oak joinery and a custom overhead stainless steel range/light that helps to define the kitchen space.
Australian House & Garden April 2015
Our Pavilion House has been featured in the April 2015 edition of Australian House & Garden. We love this home with contrast being the key to its success. Old and new, light and dark, brick and glass are deftly balanced to provide sophisticated family living.
Australian House & Garden Top 50 rooms
For the second consecutive year Australian House & Garden has included us in their Top 50 rooms issue. This year our McKinley House was featured. The issue is out now!

Reflect
With 2013 now behind us, we can reflect on what a good year it was. We finished three great projects and started another four, all working with terrific clients, and a new architect and interior designer joined our team. It was exciting for Pavilion House to be included in the Australian House & Garden magazine Top 50 Rooms, and fantastic that it came second in the readers choice poll. A big and exciting year for the team.
