Stanhope House

Important to the restoration of this heritage home was to provide continuity from old to new and provide integrated but separate living spaces for this young family.

Internally the home was stripped back and restored with the addition of a modern living, kitchen and informal living area at the rear.

The palette was deliberately simple throughout to highlight the intricate heritage details and amplify natural light throughout.

As a counterpart to this, the new section of dwelling at the rear is separated using modern steel framed doors which open out to the large kitchen and family area with extensive glazing providing connection to the outdoor living area.
